The Weeknd announced his fifth studio album ‘Dawn FM’ just days prior to its release on January 7, 2022. The album marks Abel’s comeback to music after his highly successful album ‘After Hours’ that was released in 2020. The Weeknd mentioned that the ‘Dawn FM’ album is a direct sequel to the ‘After Hours’ album. Upon release, the album was live-streamed on several streaming platforms such as Twitch.
In the song, Abel admits that ‘love’ has never been this hard to come by. His fame and fortune surely attract the most gorgeous women on the planet. This has come to him quite easily so far. But this is not love. So, this girl, who is tough to break through, intrigues The Weeknd. He wants her more than ever.

In the second verse of the song, we are given some background as to why she has her armor up all the time. The Weeknd talks about her issues with her father–may be a strict father who never showed her love and care. Maybe she comes from a family who did not appreciate her enough. And her life since has not been a bed of roses either. Maybe she was beaten in love one too many times.
The Weeknd promises to light up the fire inside her that will help melt her frozen heart. She is hard to crack in to but The Weeknd is determined.
