“Barbie World” marks the second collaboration between Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice, following their April 2023 project “Princess Diana.” While ‘The Barbie Movie’ is gaining all sorts of hype around the entertainment world, this collaboration ignites an old flair–Nicki Minaj in her Barbie persona. The movie is set to come out on July 21, 2023. Other notable artists on the movie soundtrack are Lizzo, Dua Lipa, Charlie XCX, Karol G, HAIM, The Kid LAROI, Khalid, Ava Max, and more.
“Barbie World” is only a two-minute long rap by the two artists laid on top of a sample of the infamous 1997 song “Barbie Girl” by Aqua.

The song is a tribute to all things Barbie–the lifestyle it represents, the money, the beauty, and the confidence. Well into her career, Nicki Minaj has established herself as one of the OGs of female hip-hop. She has always alluded to a Barbie personality in her music career and acted the same way, too. Ice Spice, on the other hand, is pretty new in her music career. However, she is making some pretty serious waves by collaborating with Nicki Minaj and even Taylor Swift. It would not come as a surprise if she goes on to become a leading role in the hip-hop game.
Ice Spice’s verse has savage level all the way turned up. She entwines Barbie doll themes with the music industry and her competition.
Like washing a doll Ice Spice washes out the stains on her ops. Whenever she holds a pen, she puts her competition to bed. She drags her opponents through the mud so they are looking a bit bald now (losing hair to friction and stress).
