Fox Searchlight Pictures will bring you this inspirational movie piece titled ‘The Birth of a Nation’ directed by  Nate Parker (directorial debut) who will also play the lead role of ‘Nat Turner’, an African American slave who lead a rebellion against the oppression in Southampton City, Virginia in 1831. The synopsis of the movie as per Wikipedia is as follows;

Nat Turner, as a child, is taught to read so he can study the Bible, and be a preacher to fellow slaves. When Turner’s master takes him across the country on a preaching tour to profit from his preaching, Turner begins to see the scope of slavery, and decides to become a different leader.

‘The Birth of a Nation’ will be released in USA on October 7, 2016.

It is going to be an inspirational and eye-opening movie for sure, but we are more interested in it’s soundtrack, which is filled with A-list artists. Check out the album cover below and you can get an idea.
