Paramore has finally returned and it has been too long since their absence. “Hard Times” is the title of the new single and may even be speaking of the reasons behind such absenteeism from music for such a long time. “Hard Times” also accompanied a retro-themed music video which is quite bizarre.
The new single appears in Paramore’s upcoming album ‘After Laughter’ which was also announced with the release of the single. The new album is set to be released on May 12. Pre-orders are out now.

The lyrics to the song are simple and easily understood, so the band compensate for that with some nice music.
All that I want
Is to wake up fine
Tell me that I’m alright
That I Ain’t gonna die
All that I want
Is a hole in the ground
You can tell me when it’s alright
For me to come out
The song speaks about the life the singer wants to lead. It’s a life of peace and tranquility. No hard times but just peace at mind. She wishes to wake up everyday (meaning you aren’t dead in your sleep) and to life her life as she wishes. It’s quite simple, but very empowering.
