Eminem Drops a 10-Minute Battle Rap Freestyle “Kick Off” (Lyrics Meaning)

Eminem released a surprise freestyle titled “Kick Off” a little while ago and we are left speechless. The 10-minute flow of bars by the Detroit emcee addresses many hot issues of the modern day. Eminem goes back to the underground battle rap location ‘The Shelter’ from his movie ‘8 Mile’ to record this freestyle.

Last time Eminem performed a freestyle was at BET Hip-Hop Awards where he spat out a trump-targeted “The Storm” freestyle cypher.

Before Eminem ‘kick off’ this freestyle, he explains what battle rap means to him;

“I’ve always looked at battle rap as competition or war, and the main objective is to destroy completely fucking obliterate your opponent by saying anything and everything, whatever the fuck you can to get a reaction from the crowd. So nothing’s off limits.”

Eminem also produced a movie titled ‘Bodied‘ based on a white kid making it through the ranks of underground battle rap.

Eminem touches several sensitive spots in “Kick Off” freestyle while dropping bars in this dimly lit underground space.
