As the cold December dawns upon us, YouTube has given us their compilation of the biggest YouTube sensations for year 2018. YouTube Rewind 2018 captures some of the Internet-breaking moments on YouTube in a creatively set video starring some of the most famous and influential YouTubers.
The annual YouTube Rewind release is an iconic moment where a selected set of YouTubers get to star in a compilation video that almost always goes viral. The 2018 clip released on December 6th already has over 60 million views. The 2017 edition titled ‘Shape of 2017’ in tribute to Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” has over 200 million views. The 2016 edition, too, boasts over 220 million views. The 2018 edition is titled ‘Everyone Controls Rewind’ which has given the power to the YouTubers starring in the video to decide the biggest YouTube moments.

YouTube Rewind 2018 is currently the second most disliked video in YouTube history, only falling behind “Baby” by Justin Bieber. This video holds another record for being the most disliked video in 24 hours of release-it’s 4 million dislikes.
