EXTREME TWERK WARNING: Cardi B and City Girls Drop “Twerk” Music Video

City Girls have finally released the music video for their 2018 hit “Twerk” with Cardi B. As one could expect, the entire 3 minutes 50-second video is filled with girls twerking alongside the two artists. And these are the handpicked “best twerkers” in the world!

The “Twerk” video starts off with an intro to the making of the video. City Girls have sent out a challenge named ‘citygirlstwerkchallenge25k‘ to the world to find out the greatest twerkers. The band reached out to fans via their social media to challenge girls to share their best twerk dance video. Not surprisingly, there was a ton of footage of all kinds of women twerking.

The City Girls have set out to the next duty. They have handpicked the top 20 entries from the thousands of videos they have received. The selected bunch will be flown to Miami-all expenses paid-to shoot the music video. On top of this, the ‘greatest twerker’ wins $25,000 cash from City Girls.

The “Twerk” music video shows the contestants, twerking, and the winner is shown in a highlight reel, and with her prize money.

Cardi B joins City Girls’ Yung Miami in the music video, covered in body paint. Cardi B appears in a striped tiger body paint and Yung Miami appears in a striped zebra body paint. Yung Miami’s partner in City Girls-JT is serving a prison sentence for fraud as of now, and hence, does not appear in the music video. There were leaked pictures from the music video shoot location last month.

Cardi B took to Twitter to share her enthusiasm about the new music video:

Be as it may, the video tries to send out a positive message to the society. The video is an ode to being free from social oppression on ‘twerking.’ There is an inherent negative impression on twerking by a large majority. The video is about fighting the stereotypical judgements on this dance.
