Juice WRLD – Blood On My Jeans | Lyrics Meaning & Song Review

“Blood On My Jeans” is the sixth track on Juice WRLD’s first posthumous album ‘Legends Never Die.’ The song explores Juice’s feelings for his girlfriend Ally Lotti, and also touches on guns and shooting with a sexual undertone.

‘Legends Never Die’ is Juice WRLD’s third studio album and was rumored to be titled ‘Outsiders.’ However, after Juice WRLD’s death in December 2019, the album title changed into its current title in retrospect of the artist’s legacy. Two singles released ahead of the album release, namely; “Righteous” and “Tell Me U Luv Me.” Two other promotional singles released days before the album release, namely; “Life’s A Mess” featuring Halsey and “Come & Go” featuring Marshmello. A note released along with the album mentions “We feel that this collection of 15 songs best represents the music Juice was in the process of creating… Juice dedicated his music to his fans and, now more than ever, we hope this album brings some reprieve to everyone during these unsettling times.”

In the chorus of the song, we see Juice WRLD expressing his love for the girl in his life. He confesses that his run in search of love has come to an end now that he has found her. The reference to the gun near his private parts could be a hint at how close he keeps a gun with him at all times. May be he feels that his life is threatened. Maybe it could be a reference to the police brutality going all around the world.

Juice also promises that he is moving away from drugs, especially codeine. However, the reality is that he could not. His cause of death was concluded to be an accidental overdose. Maybe he gave up on codeine and found a “new plug” as the lyrics suggest. However, the ‘new plug’ he was looking for was love.

In the only verse of the song, Juice goes on to rap about his faithfulness to Ally. He is aware that there are many women who would do “anything” for a backstage pass to his concerts and such. But he tell these women that they better buy a ticket because he has no intentions of cheating on his girl.

Juice WRLD also apologizes his girl for anything and everything he has put her through.
