KSI is gearing up towards releasing his second studio album and the impressive list of collaborations keeps on piling up. In the latest single, titled “Patience,” KSI links up with artists YUNGBLUD and Polo G.
“Patience” follows previous releases such as “Really Love” featuring Craig David and Digital Farm Animals, and “Don’t Play” featuring Anne-Marie. KSI’s second studio album is a follow-up to his highly received debut album ‘Dissimulation’ released in May 2020.
In an interview with NME magazine, KSI spoke about the song; “The song is called Patience and it’s very fitting for everything we are going through right now and what we’ve all been experiencing collectively during this lockdown.”

“Patience” is a song about perseverance, especially in today’s climate of things with the ongoing pandemic. These are the perfect times to slow down, take a step back, and take some time for yourself. It could work wonders.
In the first verse by Polo G, he sings about how having no patience got him going through the motions. All the moves he did, in quick succession, did not bear the intended fruits of his labor. Switching quickly into a relationship angle, he also adds that you need to make the right call when it comes to picking your partners for life, or else be ready to pay the ultimate price. This is probably an area where one needs the most patience.
In the second verse by KSI, he sings about taking a step back and slowing down. His previous songs have been quite the contrast, which only emphasizes the intensity of this song. He talks about how he faces hate on a daily basis, now probably more than before he broke out into the music scene. However, in the bridge of the song, KSI sings that he will not think twice to burn poisonous bridges. He is not looking for hate for producing music, doing what he likes, and enjoying life. Everyone else should be doing the same.
The chorus by YUNGBLUD is pure energy of screaming for space and slowing down. YUNGBLUD is the perfect mix of chaos to sing about a topic such as ‘patience.’
