taylor swift midnights album tracklist release date

Taylor Swift – Snow On The Beach | Lyrics Meaning Revealed

“Snow On The Beach” is the fourth track on Taylor Swift’s 2022 album ‘Midnights.’ Getting our early predictions in, the song title combines two contrasting features of nature–the beach and the snow. Although realistically, these two together aren’t a miracle, metaphorically, they are. Taylor is saying that the impossible does happen ever so often.

The song will also feature singer Lana Del Rey. Announcing the song, Taylor Swift talked about the meaning and inspiration behind the song;

“the song is about falling in love with someone at the same time as they are falling in love with you–in this sort of cataclysmic, faded moment where you realize someone feels exactly the same way that you feel at the same moment…and you kind of looking around going ‘wait, is this real? is this a dream? is this real? is it really happening? Kind of like what’d be to see snow falling on the beach.”

Taylor Swift also went on to fangirl over collaborator Lana Del Rey in the same announcement; “Lana Del Rey, in my opinion, is one of the best musical artists ever.”

Midnights‘ is the tenth studio album by Taylor Swift following her ‘evermore‘ and ‘folklore‘ album releases in 2020. Announcing the album, Taylor Swift said “This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams.” The album was released on October 21, 2022.

Taylor Swift “Snow On The Beach” Lyrics Meaning and Song Review

Snow falling on the beach would be a sight to behold. But it’s an impossibility. Some relationships do feel like this, and they turn out to be. Some rare exceptions, do flourish.

Taylor Swift recalls that fateful evening when she came across her present lover. One glance, almost cosmically random, turned out to be the best thing in her life. One has to wonder about the numerous people we pass by every day who could have turned into our soulmates had they stopped and talked. How many people would we have walked by just once in our entire life?

Taylor Swift has had her fair share of encounters with love or what looked like love. Her long list of ex-lovers may have left her with a few scars when she ran into this man several years ago. And things have been quite good since. She believes again. She is unglued from her dispositions about love thanks to this new lover.

Life has been a dream since. All the lovers she had to go through to come to this, feel worth it now. She almost doesn’t want to talk about this (although she made an entire song about it) because she is afraid she might jinx it. The public and media certainly have jinxed a few relationships for her so far.
