Shawn Mendes Releases Debut Studio Album ‘Handwritten’

Shawn Mendes at the age of 16 is already a worldwide music sensation. The Toronto based Soul singer released his first ever studio album ‘Handwritten’ on April 14, 2015 under Island record label. His long time friend Taylor Swift was excited for the album release as well.

On the very first day of the album release, ‘Handwritten’ climbed up to be the number one seller on iTunes.

The release of the album has been in works since last year, as Shawn Mendes released the first single off the album, “Life Of The Party”. It was released in June, 2014 and was followed by the second single “Something Big”, and the music video for it was released soon after.

All of the tracks, except “Stitches”, has been written by Shawn Mendes alone or with another. “Stitches” has been written by Daniel Parker, Teddy Geiger and Daniel Kyriakides.

After this highy; successful debut album release, Shawn Mendes will also be joining Taylor Swift on her upcoming 1989 World Tour, which begins in under 2 months.

Looks like the youngster is all set for greatness. We love the new album and we love what he has done so far. Only time will tell where he heads from here, but we have high hopes.
