This song has been stuck in my head for the past few days. It’s catchy, upbeat and has a wonderful meaning behind the lyrics. Rita Ora’s latest single “Poison” was released on June 28, 2015 and it is from her upcoming studio album. This is the first single since her 2014 release “I Will Never Let You Down”.
“Poison” doesn’t disappoint.
I’m awake in my bed, open my eyes and
For another second I won’t remember you,
I open up my window
I’m so sick of breathing
Every day I’m trying
But I don’t remember who I was before you came
Like a warren
Before you came, with the cold skin
Like a serpent
From the Garden of Eden
You are like poison
Running in my blood
Rita Ora sings about picking up her poison-referring to poisonous relationships. The music video released today shows some beautiful depiction of the meaning of the song. Watch the video below.
Another plus point is the sexy lingerie Rita Ora wears towards the end of the music video. She is hot and she uses it for her advantage in the visuals. She looks like Beyonce throughout the music video. I don’t know if it was intended or not, but she pulls off a pretty good Beyonce-look-alike.
“Poison” single is available for download on iTunes.
How do you like the new song by Rita Ora? Is it addictive or not? And make sure to leave a comment about the hot music video.
That sprint at the end of the music video was totally unnecessary for the story of the song, but we are not complaining. 😛
