Ariana Grande Shares ‘Fans’ and ‘Music’ Saved Her Life in Emotional Instagram Post

It’s no secret that Ariana Grande had one of the worst years of her life in 2018. To sum up, she broke up with her long-term boyfriend Mac Miller. Then she moved on to a sudden relationship with comedian Pete Davidson, with whom she got engaged within a matter of months. Mac Miller hit too hard on drugs one day and passed away. No sooner, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson called off their engagement and broke up. Pete Davidson ended up making a few jokes about the relationship on TV to add insult to injury. All of this happened from May to December 2018.

Talk about roller coasters of emotions!

Ariana Grande did find the best of her career inspired from these toughest times of her life. She penned “thank u, next” talking about her relationships and what she learnt from them and how she looks to the future. This song became a global hit and reached #1 on Billboard Hot 100. The music video was one of the fastest to reach 100 million views on YouTube.

Two other singles, “7 Rings” and “break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored” lead to Ariana’s latest album, also titled ‘thank u, next‘ in 2019. All three singles off the album reached #1 on Billboard Hot 100. The album sold 360,000 equivalent units in the opening week itself. That’s a classic example of success!

Yesterday, Ariana Grande took to Instagram to share an emotional post about her experiences in 2018. In this post shs explains how she was so down at one point that even life itself seemed like a futile option. But what kept her going was the support of her fans and the success of her music.

mmmmk …. about to embark on my third tour and am for sure deep as fuck in my feelings. and getting my period so…. this is probably gonna be too much. but i just want to say how grateful i am for my life, for the people in it, for the ups and challenges, for the laughter and the pain, for this music and for the lifelong friendships i’ve made thru making it (that includes my friendship with y’all)… maaaaaaaan… i cant really fathom all that has happened over the past few years. i don’t even really know where i’m going with this post but i’m just grateful to be here still. and excited to see you. i’m prolly gonna cry a lot. a few months ago i told my team i wasn’t even in an okay enough place to tour or work at all and my friends, you guys and this music really saved my life and turned everything around. i’m still healing but i feel a lot lighter as of late and i think this is really going to be such a beautiful time. thank god we are doing this. i can’t imagine what else i’d do and i want you to know how thankful i am…… anyway. i’m gonna go focus on finishing this show for y’all and put my phone away for a little (how much u wanna bet i don’t last a day) so i don’t ruin all the surprises. thank you. for everything. i am so deeply and eternally grateful. life is wild. but your love and this music make it feel so sweet. love u. 🌑
