Tove Lo’s latest studio album ‘Sunshine Kitty‘ did produce some big hits. Most of them were solo works and “Are U gonna tell her?” is one of the only 4 collaborations on the album of 14 tracks. The song features the Brazilian singer MC Zaac who performs the pre-chorus and a verse in Portuguese.
Tove Lo released a lyric video for “Are U gonna tell her?” on November 14, 2019. Although dubbed as a ‘lyric video,’ the visuals feature Tove Lo and MC Zaac performing the song. In a dimmed purple light, as the lyrics sing, Tove Lo performs a seductive choreography, as the theme of the song is.
The song speaks about infidelity. The two have hooked up and come morning the next day, they evaluate their options. Tove Lo knows this is not going to turn into anything more than what is it right now and so does the guy. She even knows that he has a girlfriend and questions if he is going to come clean to her! Something easily done here is crediting their ‘mistake’ to alcohol from the last night when they met.

The Portuguese lyrics by MC Zaac speak of attracted he became to Tove Lo which lead to their infidelity. He knows there was booze involved in the poor judgement of the night, but Tove Lo was not easy to pass out on. She was looking feisty, giving him looks and dangerous in bed.
