Sam Smith Puts His Hips to Work at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball 2019 with “How Do You Sleep”

Capital FM’s annual Jingle Bell Ball is one of the chirpiest live concerts in the Christmas season. The event held in The O2 Arena in London, on December 8, 2019, was a truly magical act with live performances from artists such as Mabel, Rita Ora, Harry StylesTaylor Swift, Ava Max, Anne-Marie, Lauv, Sigala and more. Sam Smith returned to stage after some hiatus to perform some of his biggest hits live on stage.

Sam Smith fashioned himself in all-pink attire that included a baggy and see-through shirt and very baggy trousers. However, none of this stopped this British icon from doing his iconic hip movement to the music of “How Do You Sleep.” Sam was assisted by four dancers, dressed in all red, for this performance.

Knowing the audience expected his iconic hip-dance, Sam Smith went on to give the song a break before he began swaying his hips left and right. The pause definitely did work and the crowd screamed in joy. Watch below.

Originally assisted by Normani with vocals, Sam Smith performed a solo version of “Dancing with a Stranger” live on the concert. The sensual choreography included plenty of gropes and touches exchanged between Sam Smith and the four dancers.

Sam Smith performed his collaboration with Disclosure on their hit track “Latch” live last night. Although this was a surprise act, the crowd seemed to appreciate the effort. The crowd sang every word of the song along with Sam Smith.

Supported by an amazing set of backup vocals, Sam Smith went on to perform a serenading version of “Too Good at Goodbyes” to end his setlist at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball 2019 night.
