Corpse, also going by the name Corpse Husband, is a musician and an internet personality based in San Diego, California. Since the start of his music journey in 2016, Corpse has released a few songs which are both personal to him and things around him. Corpse’s latest release “🌧️agoraphobic🌧️” is an example of troubling emotions he goes through on a daily basis.
Corpse gained traction on YouTube after his hit track “E-GIRLS ARE RUINING MY LIFE!” in September 2020. He followed up this momentum with “🌧️agoraphobic🌧️” in October. He also did horror story narrations on YouTube and of late played the game Among Us with popular streamers such as Pokimane, Dream, Disguised Toast, HasanAbi, Valkyrae, Sykkuno, and more.
The song title is derived from the actual medical condition of ‘agoraphobia’ which is “a type of anxiety disorder in which you fear and avoid places or situations that might cause you to panic and make you feel trapped, helpless or embarrassed. You fear an actual or anticipated situation, such as using public transportation, being in open or enclosed spaces, standing in line, or being in a crowd.”
According to Wikipedia, Corpse is chronically ill, diagnosed with medical conditions such as fibromyalgia, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and GERD, the latter being the cause for his extremely deep voice.

The song takes a deep dive into the dark waters of Corpse’s mind. He talks about the state of his mind going through the daily cycles of life. And the themes are–depression, anxiety, paranoia, suicidal thoughts, and the constant feeling of being inadequate!
In an interview with YouTuber Anthony Padilla, Corpse talked about his life; “I have very bad anxiety. I never leave my house, and I feel like I had other issues prior, but it definitely made it more logical in my head despite probably being irrational.”
Corpse has never revealed his face or true identity on the Internet so far. What he said above are the main reasons for this decision. It would also not help his anxiety that he is growing ever more popular by the day.
In the same interview, Corpse did mention that it would be somewhat redeeming to reveal his identity as a backhanded slap for everyone who said he would not go anywhere in his life when he was a kid. He mentions how he dropped out of school at the age of 12, and all his friends and teachers thought he would not amount to anything in life. Fast forward a few years, Corpse is a massive sensation on the Internet with a massive fan base.
However, the wounds that he endured as a kid have not healed yet; “Illness and welfare robbed my adolescence,” sings Corpse. This alludes to his sicknesses mentioned above and the rough upbringing he had at his home.
Despite wanting to break out from the chains of his past, Corpse still struggles feeling wanted, and feeling appreciated in society. So, he pours himself a glass of red wine and sips it as he watches the rain pouring down outside.
Corpse says that he loves it when it rains because he is agoraphobic. Rain washes away everything–even the hoards of people on the streets. Anyone left on the streets will be covering themselves under jackets and umbrellas. Everybody suddenly becomes isolated–cut off from the rest of the masses. This is when Corpse comes out!
