Normani surprised her fans with a brand new single “Wild Side” which ushers in the era of her debut studio album. The song also features Cardi B, marking their first-ever collaboration together. The music video for the song is as NSFW as it gets.
Normani talked about the single and working with Cardi B in an interview with Billboard; “I had already been in rehearsal for about three weeks preparing for the video when Cardi heard the record for the first time. She really showed up for me and brought this record to life by simply doing what Cardi does best. I love that woman down and I’m forever grateful.”
Cardi B revealed that Normani’s camp wanted a more explicit verse from her; “Sooo like I did a verse and Normani team said they wanted nastier sooo I was like alright …. your wish is my command.”
