Lady Gaga’s latest single “Perfect Illusion” has taken the music world by a storm, as expected, and today we have the official music video for the track. The music video has been directed by Ruth Hogben and Andrea Gelardin and features an energetic Lady Gaga singing her heart out. The song appears in Lady Gaga’s upcoming album ‘Joanne.’
The setting for the music video is a concert (artificial, of course) and Lady Gaga performing “Perfect Illusion” to her fans, and at times in a lonely desert. She sings the chorus;
It wasn’t love, it wasn’t love
It was a perfect illusion (Perfect illusion)
Mistaken for love, it wasn’t love
It was a perfect illusion (Perfect illusion)

Although cleverly veiled by the Pop music and energetic dance moves, the song is essentially about a devastating heartbreak. That’s why Lady Gaga refers to the relationship as a mere illusion than true love.
The singers reminisces back the times with her lover and is still trying figure out if it all was a dream or was she high. But she sure is waking up to the bitter truth now and she is still glad she is seeing the truth now.

The first verse speaks about the inevitable breakup that’s looming in the horizon. ‘Middle zone’ is the worst zone to be stuck in when you are in a relationship. You don’t have a clue what is going on and the doubt, the wait, the silence and the hopelessness is taking a toll on the relationship.
We believe Lady Gaga has released a perfect catchy tune in promotion of her upcoming album ‘Joanne’ which will be released on October 21, 2016. I assume we will be seeing a couple more singles and music videos before the album drops out.
