XXXTentacion Releases “Bad!” Single (Lyrics Review and Song Meaning)

XXXTentacion has a new album coming out in December. The rapper was shot dead in Florida in June this year, but his music has been releasing continuously. First, we got “Falling Down” featuring Lil Peep, who overdosed late last year. Then we heard “Arms Around You” collaboration with Lil Pump, and then we received the first posthumous release “Moonlight” video last month. Now, X’s mother, Cleo, has confirmed the release of the new single “Bad!” from the upcoming album.

“Bad!” appears in XXXTentacion’s third studio album ‘Skins’ expected to be released in December 2018. A definite release date is not confirmed yet. All new music is being released with blessings of Cleo. She recently accepted ‘Best Soul/R&B Album’ award for ’17’ album by XXXTenatacion at American Music Awards 2018.

“Bad!” is a very short single, running only up to 1 minute and 34 seconds. The song speaks about his attraction for a girl who is referenced ‘bad’ for her extremely good looks and features.

Lyrics Review and Song Meaning of “Bad!”

Chorus

These lyrics are a confession of X’s attraction for this girl. He knows she is bad, literally and figuratively. He knows that he might get burnt playing with fire. X thinks this girl is profane, which could be reflected as literal ‘bad,’ but the singer means to say that she looks so sexy and hot, that it makes him want to do bad things.

Verse

These lyrics by XXXTentacion are quite sexual. He talks about his love for pain. This pain could be about the pain of loving someone he cannot have. Or it could be related to the masochism-a sexual behaviour of enjoying pain. Whichever it is, we are all addicted to something that kills us inside, knowing that it does. X was no different.

The chorus repeats once more and the song comes to a stop. We cannot guess if X wanted to add more verses but ran out of time, or this really is the end product. Much like the 20-year-old rappers life was cut short, this song does too.
