Ever since the annual YouTube Rewind video was released for 2018, there has been a massive erupt of complaints on including the most irrelevant channels and incidents from the year in YouTube. The Fortnite induced theme backed by Cardi B’s “I Like It” track, looked to be a hit, until they decided to exclude many popular channels.
YouTube Rewind 2018 included an intro and outro by Will Smith, as irrelevant as he is for the YouTube community. Then the video brought us YouTube personalities from channels such as; ames Charles, John Oliver, Jordindian , Jubilee Media, JukiLop, julioprofe, Katya, Zamolodchikova, Kaykai Salaider , Kelly MissesVlog, Krystal Yam & family ,LA LATA, Lachlan, LaurDIY, Lele Pons, Life, Noggin, Lilly Singh, Liza Koshy, LosPolinesios, Lucas the Spider, Luisito Comunica (Rey Palomo), Luzu, Lyna, Manual do, Mundo, Markiplier, Marques Brownlee, Marshmello, Mason Ramsey, Me Poupe!, Merrell Twins, Michael Dapaah, MissRemiAshten, mmoshaya, Molly Burke, Ms Yeah, Muro Pequeno and more.
Complaints started raising for Will Smith being the YouTube sphere, channels that haven’t posted in months being in the Rewind video, Twitch streamers being in the video and PewDiePie, who is the most subscribed channel in YouTube, not being in the YouTube Rewind 2018. On top of this, the acting cringe was so heavy throughout the video.
So the battle began to actually make YouTube Rewind the most disliked video on the planet. As of the video release, Justin Bieber’s “Baby” video had the most dislikes of 9.7 million and people actually went and ‘liked’ the video for Rewind clip to become the most disliked video. It is said that over 300,000 dislikes were removed from “Baby” video within a few days. There was even a live counter to track the number of dislikes on Rewind clip vs “Baby” video.
The funniest turn of events is how JaidenAnimations snuck PewDiePie references into the YouTube Rewind 2018 clip and bobody noticed it until now.
Another hidden easter egg by Jaiden Animations is the animal shaped drawing in the same countertop. This is believed to be “bitch lasagna.”
As of now, JB’s “Baby” video has 9.9 million dislikes and YouTube Rewind 2018 clip is soaring past him with 11.3 million dislikes and counting. It was also the fastest disliked video in 24 hours of release with over 4 million dislikes.
