The 91st Academy Awards AKA 2019 Oscar Awards was quite special for the music industry as well. Although the most coveted awards ceremony on the planet celebrates the best of motion pictures, music becomes an integral part of movies as well as the entertainment industry.
The Oscars 2019 was blown away by some amazing live performances. Adam Lambert and Brian May of Queen opened up the night with a thrilling performance of two of Queen’s biggest hits. Jennifer Hudson performed her hit “I’ll Fight” from the documentary RGB. A tribute to ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ motion picture was done by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings performing “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings” from the movie soundtrack. However, the one that stole the show was the “Shallow” duet by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper from their movie ‘A Star Is Born.’
We have seen Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper perform “Shallow” live on Gaga’s ongoing ENIGMA residency tour. Their chemistry was always electrifying. And their Oscars 2019 performance was not anything less. Watch below.
Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper completed one of the most enthralling Oscar live performances ever. They were both dressed to the sevens and were exchanging very intense stares at each other throughout the entire performance.
“Shallow” also managed to steal ‘Best Original Song’ from the soundtrack for ‘A Star Is Born.’ Accepting the award, Lady Gaga spoke about her co-singer;
“There’s not a single person on the planet who could’ve sung this song with me but you!”
Lady Gaga became quite emotional as she delivered the acceptance speech for the award;
“I worked hard for a long time. It’s not about winning, but what it’s about is not giving up. If you have a dream, fight for it. There’s a discipline for passion. It’s not about how many times you get rejected or you fall down or are beaten up. It’s about how many times you stand up and are brave and you keep on going.”
A big congratulations to Lady Gaga and Brandley Cooper for their iconic Oscars performance and the Oscars win!
