Watch Ariana Grande Deliver an Emotional “Needy” Performance Live at iHeartRadio Awards 2019

Ariana Grande was a major star at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards held last Thurday in Los Angeles, California. She had several nominations and a live performance opportunity, which we can say she cashed in quite well.

Ariana Grande was honoured with ‘Artist of the Year’ award at the iHeart Radio Awards 2019 courtesy of her stellar success in 2018 thanks to many #1 hit singles such as “thank u, next,” “7 rings” and their music videos. She also released her break up fueled studio album also titled ‘thank u, next’ in early 2019.

“needy” is a track on ‘thank u, next’ album talking about how good it feels to be needed by someone you love. This goes against the post-modern social norm that one should be independent and strong. But Ari says it’s okay to be vulnerable and needed sometimes. It strengthens the bonds.

Ariana Grande brought her usual A-game to the iHeartRadio awards night as she delivered a soulful and emotional rendition of “needy” live. She wore a half-undone jacket with tweed pants. She had an orchestra to provide music for her vocals.

Ariana Grande was also nominated for ‘Best Music Video’ for “thank u, next” but came in short of Taylor Swift’s “Delicate” video.

Ariana Grande is about to kick off her ‘Sweetener’ World Tour in March 2019.
