There is a new HBO documentary/series starting and it is about two of the biggest artists alive. Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine team up together on ‘The Defiant Ones‘ to tell their story of getting together, conquering the music industry and ups and downs. The show seems to be very promising which would include the life stories of Dre and Jimmy Iovine, never before seen pictures and videos, new music, behind the scenes of some of the greatest hip hop hits to ever been and more. The Defiant Ones is directed by Allen Hughes.

“The Defiant Ones” examines the partnership between Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre – one the son of a Brooklyn longshoreman, the other straight out of Compton – and their leading roles in a chain of transformative events in contemporary culture.

As expected the premier of The Defiant Ones gave a lot of insight into the making of Dr. Dre and to our surprise Dre released a brand new track recorded and produced by him. The new track is titled “Gunfiyah” resembling ‘gunfire.’

“Gunfiyah” contains some split-fire lyrics and you hear Dre himself rapping the verses. The song speaks about Dre’s making and his success now.

Now will there ever be a day that my niggas won’t ride for me? For me?
Nah, nah, nah
And will there ever be a day that your bitch won’t slide with me? Homie?
Nah, nah, nah
And will it ever be a day that your hands ain’t up when a nigga on stage
I been rollin’ up haze in the studio for days just to work for a wage
Now I’m on, fuckin’ paid in this mothafucka
Who got a hit just like this? And got heart and rich like this?
Never failed, 20 years and he still got grip like this
And got kids with a super hot bitch like this
You spendin’ time tryna get like this
I wrote a script like this, I’m on some shit like…
I’m at home on the track, nigga, this my shit
Try to spit my clip, you might get hit and divided
