Hence, the song follows the theme of drug abuse and how Billie Eilish fails to find the meaning of this act. Although Billie Eilish’s aura and style would make one believe that she has a tendency towards drug usage, she denied all claims in a Tweet and explained the idea behind this song.
“I have never done drugs, I’ve never smoked anything in my life, I know people around you doing that shit makes you want to, but you don’t have to, the song’s message is less ‘don’t do drugs’; it’s more ‘be safe’. I don’t want my friends to die any more.”
