The Chainsmokers has premiered their latest work from their upcoming studio album. The new song, titled “Call You Mine,” features vocals by Bebe Rexha.
A few weeks back The Chainsmokers duo announced their third studio album titled ‘World War Joy’ along with a hint of the tracklist. The tracklist seems to contain 10 songs out of which 4 have been released so far; “Do You Mean” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Burlow, “Kills You Slowly,” and “Who Do You Love” featuring 5SOS. 6 more tracks and their featured artists are yet to be revealed.
The new single “Call You Mine” takes on the timeline of a burning hot and passionate relationship between two young people. However, the faster the climb, the quicker the drop could be. A relationship built on passion alone cannot last, and the singer worries as such “2 kids with their hearts on fire/Don’t let it burn us out.”
The music video presents a story in reverse. It’s a story of murder, but we forget all seriousness of it courtesy of how good looking Bebe Rexha is. The plot builds around a club setting where The Chainsmokers duo–Drew Taggart and Alex Pall–enjoying a ravaging, sexy dance from Bebe Rexha in black lingerie. However, Bebe Rexha decides to roofie these two and poisons their drinks. The last shot of the music video shows Bebe Rexha at a clipboard, collecting snaps of her victims so far. All of them have crosses across the pictures while The Chainsmokers duo has a hear symbol. This could be a crime out of envy. Watch the music video below.
