Taylor Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” Video features Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Ryan Reynolds, Ciara and More!

Taylor Swift premiered the brand new music video for “You Need to Calm Down,” the second single off of her upcoming seventh studio album ‘Lover.’ As promised on Twitter last week, this new video is “delicious.”

“You Need to Calm Down” is a song that addresses several themes in its lyrics; the core being Taylor’s support for the LGBTQ community. As such, the music video features many well-known homosexuals and queers. In an additional note, at the end of the video, Taylor Swift asked her fans to join her in supporting the ‘Equality Act‘ on Change.org platform.

This music video becomes one of Taylor’s most star-studded cast inclusions, possibly coming second only to “Bad Blood” music video. YNTCD video features A’keria Davenport, Adam Lambert, Adam Rippon, Adore Delano, Antoni Porowski, Billy Porter, Bobby Berk, Chester Lockhart, Ciara, Delta Work, Dexter Mayfield, Ellen Degeneres, Hannah Hart, Hayley Kiyoko, Jade Jolie Jesse, Tyler Ferguson, Jonathan Van Ness, Justin Mikita, Karamo Brown, Katy Perry, Laverne Cox, Riley Knox-Beyoncé, Rupaul, Ryan Reynolds, Tan France, Tatianna, Toderick Hall, Trinity K Bonet, and Trinity Taylor.

Katy Perry appears in a life-size Burger costume and Taylor Swift appears in a life-size french fries costume at the end of the video. They find each other in the chaos of people fighting over gay rights, and Taylor and Katy hug their feud out. This scene shall mark the official resolution of the cold war between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift over an alleged attempt to sabotage Taylor’s concerts by Katy Perry.

“You Need To Calm Down” music video has been produced by Todrick Hall and Taylor Swift. Watch the video below.

Noticed the cosplayed pop stars on stage? Well, these are the artists represented by these cast members: Tatiana as Ariana Grande, Trinity The Tuck as Lady Gaga, Delta Work as Adele, Trinity K. Bonet as Cardi B, Jade Jolie as Taylor Swift, Riley Knoxx as Beyoncé, Adore Delano as Katy Perry, and A’keria C. Davenport as Nicki Minaj. And the crown went to nobody! But these singers appear when Taylor sings about the “ladies who are killing it” in the industry!

As we are familiar with Taylor Swift’s knack to hide clues about her upcoming music, we need to look at the wall painting that makes two appearances in the music video. This painting contains the phrase “Mom, I’m A Rich Man.” Could this be the title of her next single?

‘Lover’ album comes out on August 23, 2019, and pre-orders are available on iTunes and Amazon.
