Megan Thee Stallion – Don’t Stop Ft. Young Thug| Song Review

Megan Thee Stallion returns to releasing her own music after the massive success of her collaboration with Cardi B on “WAP” a few months back. Taking a similar theme to “WAP,” Megan’s new track, titled “Don’t Stop” boasts about her lavish lifestyle and her dominating personality in her relationships. The song also enlists rapper Young Thug on the vocals.

“Don’t Stop” released on October 2, 2020, along with a music video. In the music video, there are several references to the popular children’s novel ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,’ and the 1990’s fantasy romance movie ‘Edward Scissorhands.’

Watch “Don’t Stop” by Megan Thee Stallion Ft. Young Thug

The entire song is filled with direct, indirect, and double entendres relating to sex, and Megan Thee Stallion enjoying sex in her relationships. She asserts a clear dominance over her partners when it comes to enjoying sex, flipping on the age-old stereotype that sex is mostly about men’s climax.

In the second verse by Young Thug, the rapper boasts about his lavish lifestyle. He flexes so much to say that he has a different Patek Philippe wristwatch for each day. These wristwatches are some of the most expensive brands including handmade parts and a very high number of options.

However, one of the most epic lines by Young Thug on the track is;

Shake what your doctor gave ya

This lyric flips on the more common phrase “shake what your mama gave ya,” referring to natural curves on a woman’s body. However, today, it is more common to find medically enhanced curves on women.

The rest of Young Thug’s verse falls in line with the theme of the song of pleasing his sexual appetize.
