Listen to Full “Kings Never Die” by Eminem Ft. Gwen Stefani

A snippet of the latest song by Eminem was released a couple of days ago and it was pretty amazing. The song features voices from Gwen Stefani to make it even more awesome. “Kings Never Die” is the second song by Eminem from the Eminem-produced movie soundtrack for ‘Southpaw.’

The first single off of ‘Southpaw’ movie soundtrack was “Phenomenal” also by Eminem, and it was quite something. Eminem also teased the trailer for the track, which will be released on Apple Music first.

“Kings Never Die” features an upbeat rhythm, as you could expect from Eminem for a pumped-up movie like “Southpaw.’ Initially Eminem was cast to play the role of the boxer who is now played by Jake Gyllenhaal.

Gwen Stefani joins with the chorus of “Kings Never Die” and it’s beautiful.

Here to stay
Even when I’m gone
When I close my eyes
Through the passage of time
Kings never die

Then Eminem goes hard at the haters-the ones who yelled he would never succeed. But this time the lyrics go along with the context of the movie.

Even if it means I’m selling my soul, just to be the undisputed again
Do whatever I gotta do just to win
Cause I got this motherfucking cloud over my head
Crown around it, thorns on it
Cracks in it, bet you morons didn’t
Think I’d be back, did ya?

Maybe by the second rap verse, Eminem tries to bridge two worlds–the movie and his personal life. He may feel like he has been dethroned from the Rap game.

I want it, I’m coming to get it, so you son of a bitches don’t duck your gun and get rid of those
Critics all end up in critical, think your shit is dope all you’re gonna get is smoked then
And I’m not stopping until I’m top again, all alone and on a throne

But then again, the real intention of Marshall Mathers from these lines is still hidden.

When you speak of immortality in music, there’s no better example than the late great Tupac Shakur. Eminem pays homage to him in “Kings Never Die”, because, Tupac is a King for many of us and for us he has never left us-because kings never die.

Tryna secure your legacy like Shakur
And ensure that nobody’s ever gonna be what you were
So before you’re leaving this Earth
You want people to feel the fury of a pure evil cerebral berzerk

Either way, we can see some real creative lines in the track along with some furious spitfire lyrics and rapping from the master of the game. Eminem is back on the charts with this single.
