Eminem’s Daughter Hailie Scott Speaks About “Tight” Relationship with Father for the First Time

“And if you ask me too Daddy’s gonna buy you a mockingbird

These famous lines from “Mockingbird” from Eminem’s famed 2004 album ‘Encore’ speak about the Rap God’s affection to his little angel-Hailie Jade Mathers or Hailie Scott. Although Eminem raps about “two little beautiful girls” in the song, referencing to his stepdaughter-Alaina Mathers and Hailie Jade, the song is predominantly about her biological daughter, Hailie. At the time, Em may have put her in his lyrics out of his affection towards her, but this made her a public figure without her even wanting any of it. He realizes and relapses in his recent song “Castle” as follows;

“I’ve said your name but always tried to hide your face. This game is crazy, I wanted to claim my love for you, but dang I never knew it’d be like this, if I did I wouldn’t have done it. You ain’t asked for none of this s**t, now you’re being punished?…”

Hailie Scott Talks about Eminem

Despite the controversial past they had, in an interview with DailyMail, Hailie Scott confirms that Eminem and herself are quite close and they do keep in touch.

There is certain proof for this statement, as Eminem was seen at the graduation event of Hailie Scott from Michigan State University (MSU) in 2014. However, Em stayed in the shadows so as not to cause a scene with his presence and steal the spotlight from the Homecoming queen-Hailie Scott.

“My mother and father are because they have pushed me to be the person I am and have given me all the support to achieve what I have” commented Hailie at the graduation, which further confirms that they had kept in touch from back then.

Maybe, Hailie Scott has had enough of the spotlight on her through Em’s music, that apparently, she loves to live a quiet life.

Hailie is apparently in a 2-year relationship with a fellow-colleague, Evan McClintock, from MSU and they have often been photographed together.

DailyMail confirms that Evan is a fan of Eminem and vice versa. Even Evan likes to live a life out of the spotlight, so they two work just well. Eminem is said to be very approving of their relationship.

Hailie Scott’s Future Plans

When asked about her future since the graduation as a psychology major, Hailie has said that she wants to be an ‘influencer.’ She has got the groundworks for it, now she has to build upon it. However, when pondered upon it, she said: “I’m not sure yet, it’s kind of up in the air, still.”

Hailie’s stunning beauty is no secret to her 1 million Instagram followers. Her stunning makeup skills, photoshoots, boyfriend, doggo, and abs fill up her social media account.

She also mentions that she was approached by several ‘management’ companies trying to absorb her into the music business. But she has denied them all and states that she has no interest in music as a career choice.

The 22-year old has the whole life ahead of her to figure out. She currently lives on her own in a four-bedroom house in Detroit, Michigan.

Although Hailie and Eminem have not been spotted together for an eternity, it is really good news that they still possess a bond. This leaves room for future amendments.

Family is what Eminem valued most and it is the same thing he could not protect. But this news gives us hope that their little home is not entirely broken apart.
