Zayn continues his run on releasing new music on a monthly basis since the last album ‘Mind of Mine’ in 2016. He has released hits such as “Fingers,” “Sour Diesel,” “Too Much,” “Entertainer,” “Dusk Till Dawn,” “Still Got Time” and more in the last few months. He adds on a new collaboration with Nicki Minaj-“No Candle No Light” to his long list of album-less singles. Early November 2018, Zayn took to Twitter to explain his situation in releasing the highly anticipated sophomore album.

So we do not have an ETA on the second studio album by Zayn just yet. However, we can predict that the album will be complete with a massive hits track list.
In the new single “No Candle No Light,” Zayn and Nicki Minaj are speaking about a relationship that is dwindling away.

In the two verses of the song, we find Zayn and Nicki Minaj going on about their affection for each other in a very physical way. Bodies touching, tangled on bed and dreaming of all the good dreams. But they also soon realize that their ‘touch’ is feeling less and less meaningful and effective by the day.
Both artists sing of being betrayed in love by their partner. Lies and improbable dreams are what the relationship was built on. And now they are seeing it through, and now they realize that their love was built on thin ice.
The chorus sings “no candle, no light for you,” which could be a reference to love being nonexistent without a strong base. This couple may have taken on the affair based on their physical attraction to each other, which eventually died down. The metaphorical candle melted away and so did their love.
