Why Don’t We is a five-man band consisting of Daniel Seavey, Zach Herron, Corbyn Besson, Jonah Marais, and Jack Avery. The group got together after Daniel Seavey contested in the 14th Season of American Idol. On September 27, 2016, the group officially formed ‘Why Don’t We’ group and has been having a successful run so far. They released their debut album ‘Only The Beginning’ EP in November 2016 and has released two more EP’s so far. The band released their debut studio album ‘8 Letters’ (an album with 8 tracks) in November 2018. And they are making a quick return to music in 2019 with their newest single “BIG PLANS.”
The band teased the upcoming music in a post on their Instagram page in December 2018. In the caption, they mentioned they have ‘big plans’ for 2019.
A folow-up post on Instagram on Jan 15, 2019, showed the band members singing the chorus of the song. The new single released on Jan 17, 2019.

The singers talk about how they might not be able to fullfill all her ‘wants,’ but they will surely be everything she ‘needs.’ The band has big ambitions for the new year, and possibly their careers, so they ask this girl to be a little bit more patient with them because they are on the verge of a breakthrough. With this new single, they just might.
The girl seems to be reluctant to jump in and the Why Don’t We gang does not give up. They tell her how they are going to make it big and leave this town (which is the girl’s wish) and asks her to take a chance on them. No matter what the hardships they are facing, they promise that they will stay true to themselves and asks the girl to do the same and respect them for that.
