YouTube is undoubtedly the biggest video-sharing platform in the world right now. And combine YouTube’s massive success with the ever-increasing population growth and access to Internet facilities, YouTube is one of the largest social media networks. So it makes perfect sense that artists use YouTube as a platform for promoting their music, especially music videos.
From 2019 to 2020, we published a list of music videos with over 1 billion views on YouTube. And for obvious reasons, this list keeps growing exponentially to the point that the iconic “1 billion” mark is growing to be “average.” So, we move on to a much bigger and tougher benchmark of “3 billion” views.
There are only a handful of videos, and even fewer music videos with over 3 billion views on YouTube as of January 23, 2021, at the time of publishing this article. And we will continue to update this article until such time it gets too overwhelming again to keep track of.
