Imagine Dragons Drops “Believer” Remix with Lil Wayne (Lyrics Review)

After the critical reception of their 2018 album ‘Origins,’ Imagine Dragons have turned their heads back to their 2017 album ‘Evolve.’ Afterall, the American Rock band has confessed that ‘Origins’ album is a sister album to ‘Evolve.’ However, this revisit to 2017, returns with an exciting collaboration-Lil Wayne.

Imagine Dragons released a remix of their 2017 hit “Believer” from ‘Evolve’ album. But this time they have onboard the Louisiana-born rapper Lil Wayne. The new remix comes days after the band released a lyric video for “Bad Liar” from the ‘Origins’ album.

Speaking in an interview Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons said that “Believer” is “the first song I’ve ever written in my career that I could stand back and say, that is only Imagine Dragons—that comes from a place that is really authentic to us…” Hence, inviting Lil Wayne on this track would have meant something special for the band.

Previously, the band has worked with Kendrick Lamar to remix their hit track “Radioactive.” The reception for this remix was much more positive than the latter.

Lil Wayne jumps on the second verse of “Believer” and continues on a similar theme built up by Imagine Dragons. He raps about how sweeter results are gained through enduring much difficult pains.

“I know that strength, it don’t come without strategy
I know the sweet, it don’t come without cavities
I know the passages come with some traffic”
