Taylor Swift Delivers a Medley of “YNTCD” and “Lover” on VMA 2019

It was no surprise that the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards was graced with the presence of Taylor Swift after skipping the show in 2018. With the release of Taylor Swift’s brand new album ‘Lover’ and the music videos accompanying it, Taylor is back on the visuals, and they are good.

Taylor Swift’s seventh studio album ‘Lover’ has produced three music videos so far. Namely; “ME!” featuring Brendon Urie, “You Need to Calm Down” (YNTCD) and “Lover.” Taylor Swift also managed to bag the coveted ‘Video of the Year’ award for her “You Need to Calm Down” music video, which advocated equal rights to the LGBTQ community.

Taylor Swift also went on to perform two of her singles from the 2019 album back-to-back. The two songs are of an entirely different pitch and Taylor Swift knocked them out of the show.

After doing an energetic routine, with an ensemble of backup dancers for the “You Need to Calm Down” performance, Taylor Swift calmed it down to an acoustic serenade for “Lover” performance. She played her guitar and the crowd seemed to be moved. Several shots from the crowd showed artists dancing, swaying, kissing, friends hugging each other, and all sorts of romantic affairs in the dimmed light. Even DJ Khaled was seen head-banging to the beat.
