Top 5 Best Performances from American Music Awards 2019

The American Music Awards 2019 will go down in history as one of the award ceremonies with the most electric live performances ever. Don’t believe us? Read on and find out.

The 2019 American Music Awards (AMAs) was held on November 24th Sunday in Los Angeles with the attendance of the biggest artists in the industry. Taylor Swift swept the ceremony by winning all the six categories she was nominated in. Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Halsey and more went on to win awards at the ceremony. Despite having a stellar awards ceremony, the AMAs also did put on an amazing set of live performances on.

Taylor Swift went on to perform a career-defining performance of a medley of her greatest hits throughout her 15 years in music. Her besties, Halsey, Camila Cabello, and Selena Gomez also took the stage to perform their latest hits. We also saw Green Day reuniting for a mashup of their biggest hits. Dua Lipa got the whole audience on their feet with her “Don’t Start Now” live performance. And the list goes on. Below are our top 5 picks from the American Music Awards 2019 live acts.

5) Camila Cabello – Living Proof

Camila Cabello performed a serenading version of her latest single “Living Proof” from her upcoming album ‘Romance.’ Soon after she was joined by her boyfriend, Shawn Mendes, for yet another heated performance of “Senorita” live on stage.

4) Green Day – Father of All & Basket Case

Green Day made a return to the live stage on AMAs Sunday night. It was a nice throwback performance combining two of their most popular hits.

3) Billie Eilish – all the good girls go to hell

Billie Eilish literally had the AMAs stage on fire with her crazy performance of “all the good girls go to hell” track from ‘WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?’ album. We assume the safety committee for American Music Awards 2019 was quite on edge throughout this entire act.

2) Halsey – Graveyard

Halsey always delivers something creative every time she appears on the live stage. She had various choreographies for her hit single “Without Me” on different stages and AMAs was not an exception. Dressed in all-white, Halsey made her performance of “Graveyard,” a messy artwork with pain which you must watch to understand.

1) Taylor Swift – The Man/Love Story/You Need to Calm Down/Blank Space/Shake It Off/Lover

Taylor Swift is not the most awarded artist in the American Music Awards history. She was also celebrating 15 years of music. To commemorate both these occasions, Taylor delivered a medley of some of her greatest hits spanning across her entire music career. At the end of the performance, she was awarded the once-in-a-lifetime recognition ‘Artist of the Decade.’ If there is an artist who could win this award again, it would be Taylor Swift.

This top 5 was not an easy pick. We had to exclude Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes’ steamy performance of “Senorita” from the list. We had to overlook Toni Braxton’s epic vocals with “Un-Break My Heart” performance. It was also to our displeasure that we had to ignore Selena Gomez’s amazing performance of her two latest singles “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look At Her Now.” Dua Lipa is yet another artist who has been climbing all sorts of charts recently and she performed “Don’t Start Now” which was tantalizing, to say the least.
