The new single follows “The News,” “Loyal” featuring Drake, and “Loyal (Remix)” featuring Bad Bunny and Drake. The release date of the ‘PARTMOBILE’ album is pushed back to March 27th as of now.
“Split Decision” is a track about a relationship that eroded away due to some mistake by the singer. By the looks of it, the girl found something about him that she was not intended to, which is always bad.

Verse 1
The singer says that he has been trying to call her ex-significant other a million times since that day. That day when his life came crashing down on him. But the hints are such that he deserved this breakup and the pain. So no matter how many times he calls her, there might never be an answer for him again.
Chorus
In the chorus, PARTYNEXTDOOR repeats some things she said to him in the heat of their breakup. She will not trust him ever again, and she will not love him again. She has her friends to help her get through this awful time. He probably has nobody.

Verse 2
The singer reveals the reasons for this breakup.
She got back from her trip. Maybe she did not tell him upfront that she is coming home. She caught him with another woman. All hell broke loose at that moment. She had to make a ‘split decision,’ and from her eyes, it was obvious what her decision was. There was no room for mercy in that room.
