Miley Cyrus Announces ‘Plastic Hearts’ Album (Tracklist, Release Date, Features & Review)

The ongoing Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic botches many of our plans in 2020 and there were no exceptions to the musicians around the world. Miley Cyrus was prepping to release a three-part EP series leading up to her seventh studio album titled ‘She Is Miley Cyrus.’ However, from 2018 wildfires in Malibu to the 2020 pandemic, Miley Cyrus admits that her perspective on music has changed, and releasing an album that is pretty much an autobiography seems irrelevant for the times. So, instead, fans are getting a Rock album, titled ‘Plastic Hearts.’

On Twitter, Miley Cyrus penned a letter to her fans revealing the circumstances that lead to the change of plans and releasing ‘Plastic Hearts’ album;

“I began this album over 2 years ago. Thought I had it all figured out. Not just the record-its songs/sounds, but my whole f*cking life. NO ONE checks an ego like life itself.

Just when I thought the body of work was finished, it was ALL erased, including most of the music’s relevance. Because EVERYTHING had changed.

Nature did what I now see as a favor and destroyed what I couldn’t let go of for myself. I lost my house in a fire but found myself in its ashes.

My collaborators still had most of the music that was burned up in journals/computers filled with songs for the EP series I was working on at the time. But it never felt right to release “my story,” each being a continual autobiography with a HUGE chapter missing. If it were a chapter in my book, I guess I would call it “The Beginning” which usually when something is over we call it “The End.” But it was far from that.

In triumph and gratitude, I present to you my 7th studio record ‘Plastic Hearts.'”
