Juice WRLD – Reminds Me of You Ft. The Kid LAROI | Lyrics Meaning & Song Review

On December 8, 2020, on the one year anniversary of the death of rapper Juice WRLD, another posthumous song by the rapper released. The new track titled “Reminds Me of You” is a direct interpolation of “Reminds Me” by Kim Petras, on which Juice WRLD had recorded verses before.

“Kid LAROI asked to do the song, but also back when we were doing the song, um, Juice came to the studio and he recorded this amazing verse on “Reminds Me,” and had I always, always in the back of my mind hoped it would see the light of day. I’ve always hoped there was some kind of way his verse could come out so, it’s coming out tonight. I don’t feel at all that anyone took anything from anybody, I just think this is giving the song a whole new life,” said Kim Petras about the new release.

The Kid LAROI, the collaborator on the song, had the following to say about the song; “tonight. ❤️ thank u for everything bro. without you there would be no me. I love and miss u unconditionally. @juicewrld999.”

Juice WRLD passed away on December 8, 2019, at the age of 21 after suffering a seizure induced by acute oxycodone and codeine intoxication. This isn’t the first posthumous work released by Juice WRLD’s estate. A collection of his unreleased music, grouped under the ‘Legends Never Die‘ album, was released on July 10, 2020.

Listen to “Reminds Me of You” by Juice WRLD & The Kid LAROI

In the song, both Juice WRLD and The Kid LAROI, sing about lost love. Both singers go into details about everything that reminds them of the past relationship–songs, shows, places, activities, mutual friends, drinking, and getting high.

Both singers experience that their present existence is pretty painful not being able to move on from past memories. They cannot stop thinking about all the things she could be doing right now, without them, with some other man!
