Macklemore Premiers “Willy Wonka” Featuring Offset from New Album

Macklemore goes into some ballistic rap mode with lyrics inspired by ‘Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory’ children’s story. The newly released single “Willy Wonka” features verses by Offset as well. This is the fourth track on Macklemore’s newly released album ‘Gemini.’

“Willy Wonka” has some flavored bars done by both the artists and the song is very catchy. The track is produced by Budo.

Macklemore and Offset really digs into the lyrics to tell a story in the song and is fashioned by lyrics such as;

R.I.P. Willy Wonka, watch the roof come off (Willy)
I pull up in that candy paint, call it Veruca Salt (skrrr)
You cheated and you lied, you broke the rules, my dawg (rules)
Now you wanna come around when there’s food involved

Sometimes, the song narrates the scenes from ‘Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory’ which are applicable to his life and today’s life in general.

“Willy Wonka” is one of the many collaborations found on the new album ‘Gemini.’ Other hyped collabs include Skylar Grey (“Glorious“), Kesha (“Good Old Days”), Lil Yatchy and Dan Caplen who is featured on two tracks out of the 16.

Offset delivers some exotic lines in his attempts in the song;

I got more flavor than Willy Wonka (flavor)
I took three bitches to Benihana’s (woo)
I took a jet out to Punta Cana (pew, pew)
She got her lips ’round my my anaconda (oh!)

In summing it up, we think this is a really hype single off of Macklemore’s latest album ‘Gemini’ that was released on Sept 22. We are in love with the song and would like to hear what you have to say about this new collaboration.
