jxdn – Angels & Demons | Lyrics Meaning & Song Review

Jaden Hossler, also known as Jxdn, is a singer and internet personality who had a breakthrough on the micro-video sharing network TikTok. However, his 2020 single “Angels & Demons” may earn him a new spotlight in the music community.

Jxdn announced his brand new record deal with DTA records following his debut single “Comatose” in February 2020. The new music scene earned Jaden over 5 million followers on TikTok.

“Angels & Demons” is a song about the ‘rockstar’ lifestyle of the artist, which is not necessarily all perks. He might get all the women he wants, but the pressure of the world will be on him. The lyrics run on the same lines of a wasted rockstar lifestyle from the ’80s resembling songs such as “Highway to Hell” by AC/DC. And the touch by Travis Baker is clearly visible throughout the track.

The life of a rockstar comes with its own angels and demons as jxdn stresses throughout the lyrics. And it is a daily struggle to keep battling both of these extremes. However, it is easy to fall into the demons camp.

The song stresses on the duality of everything he encounters along with fame. “Two face” people, many choices and options, good and bad, and all of which are seemingly very similar to one another. It’s a dangerous walk and one slip is all it takes to fall into an abyss.

jxdn also brings in a Biblical reference as he mentions his falling from ‘Eden.’ The ‘Garden of Eden‘ is the garden where the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, lived before they tasted the Forbidden Fruit, which caused them to be condemned from the garden and ‘fall’ to live a life of mortality and human.
