Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” Most Listened in 24 Hrs on YouTube

Taylor Swift’s latest single “Look What You Made Me Do” or LWYMMD has been quite the controversy since it’s release a day ago. The song definitely ushers a new era for Swifties and some do not do very well with change. This era will be a bit darker than her previous eras, but she is still slaying.

Since the release of the lyric video for “Look What You Made Me Do” at midnight on August 15th, it has been barely 24 hours since the release. And the video has gathered close to 21 million views on YouTube alone. This marks a new record in YouTube history as the most played track in 24 hours.

The trailer released for LWYMMD has gathered over 2 million views on YouTube in less than 18 hours.

If YouTube views are not enough, “Look What You Made Me Do” became the number 1 selling single on iTunes in over 90 countries, including USA. That is a lot of sales being made. Official revenue figures are not in yet, but this will definitely certify a platinum selling track. Below are some of the countries in which the song got to #1 spot on iTunes.

This is just the beginning of a whole new chapter for Taylor Swift. She had a lot less promotion and build-up for the release of this new single, else the results would have been much more drastic.
