The first single “Megatron” from 2019 also paves the way for the upcoming album by Nicki Minaj followed by her 2018 release ‘Queen.’ Nicki Minaj first teased the single on Instagram with just the title of the song, without any context. The song was released on June 21, 2019.
The song title ‘Megatron’ is inspired by the ‘Transformer’ movie series. This transformer is the leader of the evil group of robots named ‘Decepticons.’ In Future’s 2018 track “Transformer,” Nicki first called herself a ‘Decepticon’ and ‘Megatron.’
The music video, directed by Mike Ho, shows some mega-curvy poses by Nicki Minaj. She is seen getting cozy with a buffed up and semi-naked guy, and herself in a skimpy bikini. Watch the NSFW music video below.
In the lyrics of the song, Nicki Minaj talks about her sexual appetite, her lead among the female rappers in the music industry. She also sings about her millions of net worth and she has high or ‘pricey’ standards because of this.
Nicki Minaj last collaborated with Chris Brown and G-Eazy on another exotic single and music video “Wobble Up” in 2019.
